Pinot Noir 2022

Bright ruby in colour the nose shows elements of raspberry, chocolate and spice notes. The palate is velvety framed by red fruits, balanced acidity and a smooth and balanced finish. Drinking beautifully now, the wine will reward cellaring.

Reefman vineyard lies on a north-facing, thyme-covered hillside on the outskirts of Alexandra. Its elevation, steep slope and schist soils are reminiscent of the premium vineyards of France. Made by trophy-winning winemaker Matt Connell.

5 Stars: Grown on a steep hillside vineyard near Alexandra, this fragrant, full-bodied red is unfolding well. Deep, bright ruby, it has concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, complex and savoury, and a refined tannin structure.

Already drinking well, it should break into full stride 2026+.
