Pinot Noir 2024 Double Gold
Dark ruby in colour, the nose shows complex notes of dark berry fruit, oak spice and dried thyme aromatics leading into a rich palate with plum and cherry fruit flavours, some cinnamon notes supported by fine but grainy tannins and a long balanced finish.
The wine drinking beautiful now but will reward cellaring.
The grapes were grown on a step north faced thyme covered slop with schist soil. It is situated in the Earnscleugh sub-region of Alexandra which enjoys a true continental climate with temperature variations and a moderate river shore microclimate. Matt Connell, multiple trophy winner has produced a wine that carries his signature style and finesse.
